Wear your shirt

This is actually a post about some videos that I came across, which offer a visual encapsulation of one of the most common articles of clothing for men: the dress shirt.
The first is titled "Wear your shirt", and it's by Hugh & Crye Shirtmakers, Washington, DC, shot for Hugh & Crye's S/S 11 collection of tall-collar, cutaway and OCBD shirts. Video by Brandon Bloch :

The second is in the same lines, although a bit more descriptive. Ledbury shirts have six defining characteristics. Paul Trible, CEO & Co-Founder, describes what makes a Ledbury shirt unique. Watch the video :

The first GANT shirts were worn by Yale students and professors. Their desire for a more comfortable and relaxed fashion helped make New haven, the hometown of both GANT and Yale, the style capital of the entire East Coast collegiate world. To celebrate the homecoming of GANT in New Haven, the Yale Co-op shirt, has been re-launched.

The dress shirt has been around for quite some time know, enough for most of us to think it will never change. Well, care to find out how evolved may a classic piece get ? Ministry of Supply announced on Kickstarter, some 6 months ago, the launch of a unique product, the Apollo Dress Shirt, based on NASA Spacesuit technology. Watch the video :

Finally, an alternative take on wearing a man's shirt. In the words of the creators : "The following video is about the transformation of the shirt, which once was lost in Ira's place by some guy. She made a new dress of it and you could do the same. It's simple and easy but looks just great!" I could not agree less. Design and Model: Ira Zvidrina. Direction: Kati Turkina. For more info here.
