Organic-form blown glass pendant lights

Alex de Witte was born in Netherlands in 1976 and graduated from the Artemis Academy Amsterdam. Alex’s work in his own words “is based on universal values in the perception of beauty amongst people and animals, but moreover he anticipates on occurrences during the design process”. The big Bubble is a very huge light made of blown glass. Each light is unique, dimensions are between 85 and 115 cm long. The Big Bubble has won the first price for best product at Design District Amsterdam 2013.

If you prefer smaller lights made from glass then the Bolla light designed by Harry & Camila for FontanaArte might be an option. Born in the Netherlands, Harry is an industrial designer and graduate of the Design Academy in Eindhoven. Camila was born in Chile and raised in Mexico, with a degree in Fashion Design. Together, they create the perfect blend of Dutch free-spirit and Latin sensuality, resulting in a design approach marked by experimentation with materials and surfaces. They have become well-known for their mysterious creations, with futuristic forms that evoke images of speed.

The following pendant lights are from Periphere ; heart shaped blown glass pendant lights designed specifically for the MADE AT HOME show in Toronto. Designer Thien Ta Trung stated, "We started with the idiom: 'Home is where the heart is' as inspiration. We wanted to do something that would reflect this idea of warmth and loving feeling."
